Coaching

Awareness is the first step. Stillness is the practice. Presence is.

Meet Leah
About Me

I am a PACFA-registered Clinical Counsellor, an ICF ACC-accredited Coach, and a Yoga Teacher. My work brings neuroscience, psychology, and mindful embodiment together to help individuals and couples stabilise the mind, rebuild trust in the body, and re-establish direction.

Growth does not occur in isolation; it arises from the integrated system of mind and body. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Positive Psychology, and mindfulness because each activates distinct neural pathways, attention, emotional regulation, and meaning-making. These approaches invite the brain to rewire toward balance, resilience, and clarity.

The heart of my practice was formed long before my qualifications. Stabilise was created in memory of my mother, whose strength, empathy, and quiet wisdom shaped how I understand healing. She taught me that presence is the greatest act of love,  that to sit with another person, fully and without judgment, can change the chemistry of a moment.

Each client journey is unique, yet the foundation remains constant, safety, clarity, and measurable growth held in presence.

Session Packs Now Available

These prepaid packs give your brain the consistency it needs for meaningful change. Regular sessions strengthen neuroplasticity, settle cortisol dynamics, and create the emotional safety required for deep relational and behavioural shifts. This is where insight becomes action. If you are ready for sustained growth, this structured commitment helps embed those shifts into your mindset and overall well-being.

CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS

As the sole practitioner at Stabilise and Head of Therapy at Omni Bali, I partner with organisations including ALDI and Solas Mind to provide on-site mental health support and Employee Assistance Program services. I work directly with teams in high-pressure environments, offering calm, structured and confidential psychological care that fits the realities of their day-to-day work.

Every corporate partnership is held by me personally. There is no outsourcing or clinician rotation, just one consistent, trusted point of contact, so your people receive stable, continuous care over time.

The mind and body are inseparable systems, constantly influencing how we think, feel, and act. When stress or uncertainty take hold, neural pathways narrow, and clarity fades.

This is not simply about coping; it’s about rewiring the brain for long-term resilience.

Through neuroscience-informed counselling and integrative coaching, I help you restore balance to your nervous system and strengthen the neural connections that support calm, confidence, and emotional intelligence.

Sustainable change begins with neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to reorganise itself through attention and experience. By combining Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Polyvagal Theory, we train the nervous system to respond rather than react. Each session builds emotional flexibility, turning awareness into action and insight into embodied change.

Transformation begins with awareness, the ability to observe your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours without being ruled by them. Through guided reflection and neuroscience-based tools, you learn to identify the patterns that once felt automatic and begin reshaping them.

By engaging the brain’s reward and motivation systems, new pathways for focus and creativity emerge. The prefrontal cortex strengthens its role in decision-making, while the limbic system learns safety in change. You start to move from reaction to choice, from doing to a grounded sense of clarity and direction.

You'll experience
- Deeper self-understanding and purpose
- Greater focus and cognitive clarity
- Sustainable motivation anchored in your values

Personal Development & Growth

Relationships are emotional ecosystems, reflecting the regulation of two nervous systems in constant dialogue. When both partners learn to self-soothe and co-regulate, connection deepens and trust stabilises.

In our work, we explore protective patterns, criticism, withdrawal, and defensiveness as adaptive responses to unmet needs. Through relational attunement and mindful repair, the brain learns that safety and vulnerability can coexist. Communication becomes less about defence and more about understanding.

You'll experience
- Emotional attunement and trust
- Compassionate communication under stress
- Reconnection through mutual understanding

Relationship & Couples Dynamics

Emotional awareness is the most advanced form of self-regulation. Through interoception, the body’s capacity to sense its internal state, you learn to recognise early physiological cues of stress before they become overwhelming.
A calm, stable emotional foundation

As awareness strengthens, the vagus nerve recalibrates, cortisol levels stabilise, and cognitive flexibility increases. You become able to meet challenges with steadiness rather than urgency, creating a baseline of calm from which clarity naturally arises.

You'll experience
- Resilience under pressure
- Reduced anxiety and reactivity
- A calm, stable emotional foundation

Neural Pathways of Growth

Growth happens across layers of awareness, personal, relational, and emotional. These pathways mirror how the brain itself develops: from individual regulation, to connection with others, to integration of emotion and meaning. Each one expands your capacity for presence and resilience.

Let's talk
What is the difference between counselling and coaching?

Counselling typically focuses on addressing emotional and psychological issues, while coaching is more future-oriented, aiming to enhance personal and professional development.

How do I know whether I need counselling or coaching?

If you're grappling with emotional issues or mental health concerns, counselling may be more suitable. Coaching is ideal for individuals seeking guidance and support in achieving specific goals.

What issues can counselling help with?

Counselling is effective for a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, grief, relationship problems, and stress management.

What can I expect in a counselling session?

Counselling sessions provide a safe and confidential space to discuss your concerns. Therapists use various techniques to help you explore and address emotional challenges.

What is the focus of coaching sessions?

Coaching sessions concentrate on setting and achieving goals. Coaches use motivation, encouragement, and accountability to support clients in reaching their desired outcomes.

How long does counselling or coaching take?

The duration varies depending on individual needs and goals. Short-term counselling may range from a few sessions to several months, while coaching engagements may last several weeks to months.

Is counselling confidential?

Yes, counselling sessions are confidential. However, there are legal and ethical exceptions, such as instances of harm to oneself or others.

How often should I attend counselling or coaching sessions?

Session frequency depends on your needs and the recommendations of your counsellor or coach. Initially, sessions may be more frequent and then spaced out as progress is made.

Can counselling or coaching be done online?

Yes, many counsellors and coaches offer online sessions through secure and confidential platforms.

How do I choose the right counsellor or coach for me?

Consider their expertise, experience, and approach. Finding someone you feel comfortable with and who aligns with your goals and values is important.

Awareness is the first step.

It is the moment you stop being inside the thought and start observing it. In brain terms, you shift from autopilot, the default mode network, into a more measured, choiceful mode. You go from “I am the thought” to “I am noticing the thought.”

Stillness is the practice.

Stillness is not emptiness. It is nervous system hygiene. You downshift arousal, soften the body, widen attention, and give the prefrontal cortex a chance to come back online. This is how you stop feeding the loop. Less mental noise, more signal from the body.

Presence is.

Presence is what you are when you are no longer narrating the moment. You are here, with direct sensory data, and the sense of self stops being a story you have to maintain. It is not a performance. It is your baseline when the brain and body are coherent
