Who we are
Stabilise Coaching & Counselling (Stabilise™) is a counselling and coaching practice based in Carlton, Melbourne, operated by Leah. We can be contacted at coach@stabilisecoaching.com.
What information we collect
We collect information you provide when you contact us via our enquiry form: your name, email address, and any details you choose to share. We do not collect data without your knowledge.
How we use your information
Your information is used solely to respond to your enquiry and to provide services you have requested. We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal information to third parties.
Confidentiality in sessions
All information shared within counselling or coaching sessions is held in strict confidence. Exceptions are limited to circumstances required by law, such as risk of serious harm to yourself or others. These exceptions are explained in full at the start of your first session.
Third-party services
Our website uses the following third-party services that may collect data independently: Google Analytics (website usage and traffic data), the Meta Pixel (advertising measurement, described in the next section), Calendly (name, email and booking information when scheduling appointments), and Vercel Analytics (anonymised performance data). Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We use these services solely to operate and improve our website and booking process.
The Meta Pixel
Our website includes the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code provided by Meta Platforms, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It records that a page was viewed, and that certain actions took place: clicking to book a session, requesting a free guide, or sending the enquiry form. When one of those happens it sends Meta your IP address, your browser details and the page you were on, and Meta may connect that activity to a Facebook or Instagram account. From the enquiry form it also receives which service you selected from the dropdown, but not your name, your email address or anything you wrote. We use it for one purpose: to measure whether our advertising is reaching the people it is meant to reach. It sends nothing to Meta unless you accept cookies.
Cookies and tracking
Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel both use cookies, and neither is given permission to until you choose Accept on the notice shown on your first visit. If you choose Decline, no cookies are set and no identifier is stored, so nothing links one visit to another or to you. The Meta Pixel sends nothing to Meta at all in that state. Google Analytics is slightly different: it still sends an anonymous signal recording that a page was opened and that you declined, which is how Google’s consent system is designed to work. That signal carries no cookie and no identifier, and nothing in it distinguishes you from any other visitor. Vercel Analytics is held to the same answer: it reports nothing at all until you accept, and stops again if you later decline. Vercel Speed Insights, which measures how quickly pages load, carries timing only, with no cookie and no identifier, and is not affected by your answer. Either way, every part of this site continues to work exactly as it otherwise would. Your answer is stored in your own browser and nowhere else, and you can change it at any time using the button below.
Data storage
Any personal information provided via our website is stored securely. Session notes are held in accordance with professional standards and Australian Privacy Principles.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to any personal information we hold about you, and to request its correction or deletion. To do so, please contact us at the email address above.
