Workbooks
The work between sessions
These are the workbooks I use in the room, built as fillable PDFs so you can type straight into them on a laptop, tablet or phone. Each one is for understanding why you do what you do before you try to change it.
Workbook 01
The Conditioning Map
Inner child workbook. The rules you were given, next to the rules you run.
Every family hands down a rulebook nobody wrote down. Be useful. Do not need too much. Keep the peace. This workbook helps you find the rules you absorbed before you could choose them, see what each one was protecting, and decide, now, which ones you keep.
Who it is for. People who notice the same pattern in every relationship, every job, every argument, and want to trace it to its source.
Inside
- 01
How a rule gets in, and why it still fires in rooms where it is no longer needed
- 02
Thirty rules to rate, drawn from clinical research into early beliefs
- 03
What each rule protected then, what it costs now, and where it lives in the body
- 04
A five-step practice for the moment a rule fires, and seven days of tracking one revision
Companion to The Pain-Body Ledger. Each stands alone.
Workbook 02
The Pain-Body Ledger
Emotional triggers workbook. For reactions bigger than the moment that caused them.
A tone of voice, a closed door, a two-word text, and the feeling arrives before the thought. That is not an overreaction to today. It is an old entry being reopened. This workbook maps the triggers your body fires hardest on, traces where each charge was first recorded, and teaches a two-minute practice for letting one finish.
Who it is for. People who know, even while it is happening, that the reaction is out of proportion and cannot stop it.
Inside
- 01
Why a feeling can fire before thought, outlast the moment, and grow each time you replay it
- 02
Twenty-eight triggers rated by how hard your body fires, not how much they should bother you
- 03
Your body signature, your tell, and who else in your family carries the same charge
- 04
A five-step discharge protocol, an if-then plan, and seven days of timed practice
Companion to The Conditioning Map. Each stands alone.
How they work
Type, do not print
Every answer box is a real form field. Open the PDF in Acrobat Reader, Apple Preview or the Files app and your writing saves inside it. It prints cleanly on A4 if you would rather use a pen.
One part a week
Each workbook has four parts and is designed to be worked over about five weeks. A worked example runs through every exercise so you see it filled in before you fill in your own.
Built to be brought
A workbook is a support structure, not a replacement for therapy. If what surfaces is more than you want to hold alone, bring the pages to a session. Sessions are here.
