When Nothing You Do Feels Good Enough

A practical workbook for perfectionism, comparison and a kinder relationship with yourself

What it is for

You finish something and see what could have been better. A compliment arrives and you explain it away. For the standards you live by, the way you speak to yourself after a mistake, and what enough would look like if you defined it first.

Inside

  • Notice when a standard stops helping
  • Keep the instruction, drop the insult
  • Define enough before you begin
  • Receive feedback and repair a mistake without punishing yourself
  • A two-week practice plan
  • A worked example on every exercise

You might be here if

  • You finish something, then notice what could have been better.
  • Someone compliments you and you explain why it was not that impressive.
  • You want to begin, but the chance of getting it wrong makes starting hard.
  • The satisfaction fades before you have had time to feel it.

The worked example

Otto, 31, is a junior architect with a reputation for beautiful drawings and late ones. He was asked for a short proposal on a Monday. By Thursday it was eleven pages, still not sent, and he had started a second version in case the first was too long. The client went with someone else on Friday. Otto described this as proof he wasn't ready.
Otto is a composite, not a real client. Their answers run through every exercise, so you see each one filled in before you fill in your own.

From the pages

  • Where in my life do I most often feel that I'm not doing enough?

  • Would I expect the same from someone in my circumstances?

  • What actually happened? What remains unknown?

  • What feels uncomfortable about treating myself more fairly? What do I fear I would lose?

How it works

Payment is handled by Gumroad. The PDF arrives by email straight after checkout and stays in your Gumroad library. Open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader (free), Apple Preview or the Files app on iPhone and iPad; your answers save inside the file.

A support structure, not a replacement

This workbook offers education and guided reflection for adults. It does not diagnose a condition or replace counselling, psychological treatment or medical care. If anything it raises is more than you can hold alone, bring the pages to a counsellor or therapist. Sessions are here.

Refunds

Because the file is delivered instantly, purchases cannot be returned or exchanged. If a file will not open or the fields will not fill, email coach@stabilisecoaching.com and it will be sorted, usually the same day.
