Why transitions are so unsettling
Transitions are not just logistical. They ask you to let go of an identity, a routine, or a sense of certainty before the new one has taken shape. That gap between what was and what comes next is where most of the disorientation lives.
Common transitions that bring people to counselling include: career changes, redundancy or burnout, moving cities or countries, relationship changes including breakups and divorce, becoming a parent, a health diagnosis, reaching a milestone and feeling unexpectedly hollow, and the grief of a future you expected but did not get.
Counselling and coaching combined
Leah holds dual qualifications as a PACFA registered clinical counsellor and an ICF accredited coach. This means sessions can move between emotional processing and forward-facing planning depending on what you actually need. Sometimes transitions call for deep reflection. Sometimes they call for clarity and a next step. Often they call for both, and having one person who can hold the whole picture is genuinely useful.
In person in Carlton, or online
Sessions are available in person in Carlton, Melbourne, or online worldwide. Many people navigating major transitions are mid-move or in changing circumstances, which makes online sessions a flexible and accessible option.
