What coaching is, and what it is not
Coaching looks forward. We start with where you want to be, map what is in the way, and turn that into commitments you can keep. It is practical, structured work, built around your goals rather than a set program.
It is not therapy under another name. If what is in the way turns out to be grief, anxiety or an old pattern that keeps repeating, I am also a PACFA registered counsellor, so we can shift into that work without you starting again with someone new.
Neuroscience-informed and strengths-based
Change is a nervous system question before it is a motivation question. A brain under pressure defaults to what is familiar, which is why willpower runs out. So we work with it: small, repeatable actions that build evidence, values that make the effort worth it, and the strengths you already have.
People come to coaching for career direction, confidence, decisions they keep circling, and rebuilding after burnout or a big change. Sessions are 60 minutes, and many people use a 6 or 8 session pack to give the work a steady rhythm.
In Carlton or online
Coaching sessions are available in person at 167 Drummond Street, Carlton, or online anywhere in the world. I am an ICF ACC accredited coach, and for most people coaching works just as well over video.
